Review of Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter (2001) by Isaac K — 05 Mar 2010
Ok, just so you know where this flick is coming from, Jesus Kung-fu battles a seemingly endless mob of atheists, the final atheist proclaiming "I don't believe it!" before being kicked into a tree.
Mostly, this flick wasn't too far from Christianity... in a way... for example, there's a good samaritan parody where a transvestite is the one that helps Jesus out, and I didn't find it nearly as blasphemous as I expected.
The end "take home message" is way off, but still, you've got to admire them for trying. Very funny, but nobody is lying to you when they mention the phrase "so bad, it's good." And funnily enough, Christians are probably more likely to get some of the jokes.
So there you have it, Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter.
