Review of Jesus Christ Superstar (2000) by Patricia A — 10 Jul 2007
A different interpretation of the "Jesus Christ Superstar" musical. It's cool to see different performers doing the roles in an indoor setting; their voices give different emphasis. It's a nice change.
Glenn Carter plays a long-haired blonde hip Jesus. Jerome Pradon was like a U2 bandmember as Judas. I really liked the boardroom setting with the Romans, the S&M Pilate, the police officer soldiers, and the vaudevillian showman King Herod.
It's very different indeed; I didn't mind it.
