Review of Jesus Camp (2006) by Tommy M — 05 Mar 2011

This is right up there with the scariest movies I've ever seen. And it accomplishes this without being filmed or presented with any real slant on it. Well filmed with little to know narration or directorial intervention, it lets the footage do the talking.

Extremely powerful, sad, and paints a very dark picture on what is supposed to be a religion of faith, forgiveness and beauty. On now to the personal opinion portion of this review. What is going on in this film is shameful, discusting and offensive beyond redemption.

This is brianwashing on a mass scale, nothing less. I feel so horribly for these children. They are being robbed of their childhood, free will, and ability to think. It is beyond obvious that this isn't a religous movement, but a political movement in sheeps clothing.

These people keep repeating how much they 'love America' or are 'proud to be Americans'. The Jesus I know would say to love the world, and be proud to be human beings, not preach some bullshit about the flag you fly.

The Jesus I know would be absolutly appalled at what is being done to these kids. Last I heard, God gave us free will for a reason; a reason that is being blatantly disregarded by those who should be preaching its value.

As is pointed out towards the end of the film, "there's a special place reserved for those who mess with chilldren", and every single one of these scumbags is going to see it.
