Review of Jesus Camp (2006) by Natalie G — 05 Nov 2011
Religulous is the benchmark for this type of documentary and this certainly isn't on a par with that. It does raise some very interesting questions though about how the evangelical right wing in America is bleeding onto questions of political policy.
It's most worrying moments are when we see how their children are being force fed the information. However it doesn't feel particularly balanced and the preaching scenes are powerful enough without the dastardly music.
It still deserves to be seen though and you'd love to see an update on the children in 10 years time.
