Review of Jesus Camp (2006) by Alex V — 17 Oct 2009
4.2/10 --.
Aside from the idea that Evangelist Christians are forming a republican army by brainwashing their own children, there really isn't much about "Jesus Camp" that's really all that surprising. We already know going in that these guys are fucking nuts, but the documentary does little to build upon that foundation. I would have liked to see more of the real world impact that these extremist religious groups create. Otherwise, the subject isn't explored thoroughly enough. The film ends and all I'm thinking is: "Leave Harry Potter alone!".
