Review of Jersey Girl (2004) by Nessa Or V — 11 Dec 2008
For Kevin's Smith's first adult comedy, I wasn't totally surpised. it was cute and touching, but it proves a lack of maturity to it as well. Obviously this was made during the time Ben Affleck was being labeled a social defiant because of career choices and his relationship with J-Lo, Ben shows some effort that maybe this guy is trying but he didn't make an convincing Ollie Trinkie.
Other than that Smith gave a good solid chance to make something outside the Jay and Silent Job league.
