I have heard numerous times that this is Kevin Smith's worst film, and that his best one is Chasing Amy. Lemme tell you, I hope he doesn't use that opinion in the creation of future films, because Chasing Amy was the worst crap I think I've ever seen.
Jersey Girl bests it easily, and while I'd only rate it as something I might watch again, I really enjoyed the story. I totally loved Liv Tyler's character and the little girl, and the whole single dad thing and Will Smith and all, I really thought it was very charming.
Even Ben Affleck did a good job.
