Review of Jersey Girl (2004) by Caleb M — 26 Dec 2011
Not half as bad as it's been made out to be, Jersey Girl is a sweet little family story with some tender performances and a heartfelt message. The occasional out of place joke of overly saccharine moment takes away from the believability and reminds you you're watching a pretty formulaic flick, but Smith's script has enough of his humor, and lets Affleck deliver a real performance, so that when the end comes it feels like its been earned.
