Review of Jersey Boys (2014) by Joey V — 26 Jun 2014
There are many poor elements to this movie but also has one bright spot. The movie is very slow paced and is overall an extremely boring film. The acting is very poor from all the main characters. The narrative was unfocused as the movie half way through switches the focus to a different character.
Another criticism is the fact that this movie takes place inside a bubble where nothing else exists except what directly affects the lead characters and in a time in America where so much history was being made.
The one bright spot was the actor who played Frankie Vallei had a terrific singing voice. Overall this story just does not work on the big screen like it does as a play and as a result this is one of Eastwood's weaker products to date.
