Review of Jerry Maguire (1996) by Sean S — 01 Mar 2010
Touching, funny and brilliantly acted; Jerry Maguire is a story which revolves around the theme of loyalty and passion being more important than money and knowing the value of something is way more important than knowing the price.
The charachters are all exaggerated but important to the narrativeand are cliched within the genre of sports film and romantic comedy but are brought to life through great acting performances. The directing is strong and forces sympathy for its leading charachters well which help you get emotionally involved in the story and although the plot can sometimes be naive it is yet again supported by the great acting making this a performance driven film with some strong themes and good directing which will have you almost in tears but will end with you with a huge grin on your face.
