Review of Jerry Maguire (1996) by Kurt K — 20 Nov 2010
Say what you want about Tom Cruise, but he does an excellent job in this romantic drama. It's a little cheesy, sure. However, I like how this movie shows two sides of the coin: love and greed. Eventually, one outweighs the other in the end and it is interesting to see the struggle between the two forces here.
Cuba Gooding Jr. is awesome in this movie and I was truly convinced that he was a football player going into the pros. I also thought that Cruise and Zellweger had chemistry that was on fire and off the charts.
Their emotion in their roles really make it enjoyable to watch the movie and while it feels a little cheesy at times, it feels pleasurable to watch.
