Review of Jerry Maguire (1996) by Ben H — 18 Aug 2017
Besides wanting a fiance that would give me that kind of sex, I envied Jerry's life in the 1st act. I really enjoyed watching the transition from good to bad to good and so on with his job and his relationships. Those are areas that I can relate to in my life, now open in both areas.
I think Cuba deserved the oscar for his performance. He captured someone who needs to feel life on a more emotional level and just live life well, tremendously. He needed to have more heart in what he was doing, and I think he found it in a good way.
The famous "you complete me scene" amongst the divorcees/men haters was everything that it's been made out to be. I thought I was the one telling Renee that she's my wife. So a tremendous effort by Cameron Crowe on a job well done writing and directing this piece.
