A great, seemingly little-known film of a man seeking solitude in the wilderness, only to become the nemesis of the Crow Indians. Fine acting from Redford, in a film with little dialogue, and beautiful scenery expertly directed by Sydney Pollock and co-scriped by John Milius (which possibly accounts for the amount of action).
