Review of Jennifer's Body (2009) by Ian V — 30 Apr 2012
I'm not going to lie: I do not find Megan Fox actractive at all. No, its not because of her toe-thumbs (though those don't exactly help) it's because of horrible an actress she is. Okay, in this movie you have Megan Fox playing the typical snobish high school cheerleader who gets possessed by a demon after a fire, now her friend Needy (played by Amanda Seyfried) must stop her from eating everyone.
Sounds interesting right? Well, at some parts it really is. At parts, this film is so unique and clever it allows you to overlook Fox's horrible acting, but thats mostly due to the fact that the script was written by Diablo Cody (She wrote the fantastic script for JUNO), but not even her brilliance in the script can change how poorly shot this movie was.
Some of the effects such as the gore and demon effects look mediocre as hell. Another thing, this film isn't scary at all. I'm sorry, but a cheerleader isn't that scary to me, she'd be more afraid of me than I would be of her.
Like I said, at some parts this film is really interesting and funny but at others it is awful.
