Review of Jennifer's Body (2009) by Jack M — 27 Oct 2011

One of my favorite bad movies.

Jennifer's Body is a movie that does not know if it wants to be a horror or comedy. This is a cult movie at its best. It is strange because this is not a good movie. There will be no Academy Award chase for Megan Fox nor Amanda Seyfried. However, you can not help but enjoy this mess of a movie. Kudos goes to Diablo Cody for an outrageous screenplay filled with interesting dialogue between the central characters. The dialogue is what makes this movie go from terrible to incredibly funny within seconds. The actors look like they are having fun in this campy horror. Of course, the big focus is on the kissing scene. It should be noted that the scene made absolutely no sense to happen in the movie. Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfriend are beautiful women so seeing them kiss was a bonus to the comedy/horror adventure. Also, the amount of gore is a nice nod to horror movies of the past. Overall, Jennifer's Body is a bad movie with a pulse. You will not be able to stop laughing at the ridiculousness.
