Jennifer's Body (2009) -- [6.5] -- Megan Fox (Transformers) may never be put to better use than she is here, playing a stuck-up, conceited high school babe who gets possessed by a demon and starts eating all the boys in school.

Amanda Seyfried plays her best friend... or enemy? Girls are complicated. The script by Diablo Cody (Juno) strives a little too hard to infect the zeitgeist (not every teen flick can be 'Clueless' or 'Heathers'), but I liked seeing young women at the center of the movie, playing the good and evil leads.

For a change, it's the boys who are relegated to scenery and victim-hood. The final showdown is satisfying (love the abandoned swimming pool location) and I dug the ending.
