This film had a female-dominated cast and crew so that's why the misogynists hated it. I watched this back in fifth grade and I didn't understand the references and concepts. But watching this at 22 I get it! The tables turned and the sexist society can't deal with a strong female lead.
They marketed this film as a raunchy high school sex monster plot when it's really a rape-revenge plot. This was a brief review of societal issues that the youth face - sexual misconduct, gender roles and sexuality confusion, etc.
2009 really did Megan Fox wrong. Her acting as a flesh-eating bisexual demon was excellent. We need more films that depict young women's relationships. Dark humor and iconic soundtrack are timeless. People hate terrorized and powerless men but if it's women victims this film would get critics applauding.
