Review of Jem and the Holograms (2015) by Nightmare_L — 26 Nov 2015
Two generic recycled plots mashed together, unlikable and forgettable characters with no motivations and the worst soundtrack ever put on film is only half of the sins this almost unwatchable stinker commits.
Instead of taking inspiration from the original and making something fun and cheesy with over the top awesome stuff like motorcycles shaped like guitars and possessed supercomputers with holographic powers, this is just a painfully dull nothing of a film with no point or meaning to any of it.
It's just another cynical cash grab trying to ride the awful John Green wave of young adult fiction and have NOTHING to do with the source material.
