Jeff, who lives at home takes us on his destination to figure out his meaning in life - a destination that we've seen several times before - Guy chases girl, girl chases girl, dumbass chases a helicopter, jumps into the ocean, almost dies, comes back as the hero of the film. What the film does, is manage to tie one cliche after another together nicely.
And they all lived happily ever after [SPOILER.].
