Review of Jeff, Who Lives at Home (2012) by Joe M — 11 Nov 2013
I loved this film. However, if you were expecting to see a comedy, I can see why you would be disappointed. It is a great film about exploring ones purpose, and destiny. Do random things just happen, or are they part of a bigger picture which should be explored.
The actors in the film are all top-notch. It is shot so well, and has a look of isolation for the character Jeff which is perfect. This film draws you in as the character Jeff searches for the meaning by things, and hoping that he can have that one perfect moment.
While the his family seems pre-occupied and self-absorbed with there own happenings. There are so many good things I can say about this movie from the music, to the scenery to plot elements, to the actors, but then this review would be to long.
Therefore, I recommend this film, but I feel you have to be in the right frame of mind as well to truly enjoy it. This is the kind of film that should be watched alone, or with one other person.
