Review of Jeepers Creepers 3 (2017) by Den L — 23 May 2018

Saw the original and loved it, watched the second one but less than loved it but stuck with it. I am now 2/'3 into the third film and can say hand I heart I virtually loathe it.

Can I justify my feelings, well I can certainly try.

The plot is such that there is no clear tie in with the second film and only a tenuous tie in to the first, that prehaps being the name of the film. The acting is truly awful. It's like drama students on their first day being told use your face to telegraph your feelings and shout as many of your lines as possible. We are left with a lot of noisy gurning. The dialogue, where do we start. If that round faced cry baby of a sheriff says 'Goddammit' one more time I'll have to smash my TV. It's cliche ridden throughout. 'putting rubber to the road' was another awful shoehorned in piece of rubbish script. I had the impression they came up with this line they tried to think up a movie to use it in.

The CGI was laughable. The scenes where actors drove cars, and there was lot of them, were even worse. Clearly filmed on the cheap in studios with the CGI scenery making no sense and the drivers steering one way as the road behind goes another.

The creeper, a standout scary dude from the first film has now morphed into a 2 dimensional joke in this film and the addition of bizarre new superpowers does nothing to salvage the sinking wreck of a film that need never have been made.

There are a few reviews on here hailing this film as wonderful but frankly you should question what film they were watching as it certainly wasn't this travesty.
