Review of Jeepers Creepers (2001) by Jarrett M — 18 May 2012
Jeepers Creepers is a better than average horror film, and considering most modern horror films, than should mean something. It has flaws, don't getme wrong, but manages to avoid the most infuriating of the lazy horror movie cliches.
For the most part. The performances are alright, but uneven. The story is also interesting, at least through the early part of the film. The latter part of the film veers more into familiar territory, but the ending left me surprised and carried more weight then I was expecting.
The creeper is an effective antagonist andis responsible for some decent tension and scares through the film. Not a film that will blow you away or reinvent the genre, but it is a decent and solid horror film.
