Review of Jeepers Creepers (2001) by Blade M — 11 Sep 2012
This is one of the better horror movies that had to offer back in the early 2000's. Writer and Director Victor Salva (Clownhouse, Nature of the Beast, Powder) offers something different with a completely original looking creature.
Philips and Long performances as the sister and brother in the film truly helps the movie. Which they are truly believable as sister and brother. It is extremely well directed and written, it is funny, it has some exciting moments, genuinely scary at times, a few good susprises but the movie slows down a bit towards the third act.
Some audiences and critics were disappointed with the unpleasent conclusion. But I think, it works with the picture. A surprise box office hit and it did have an cult following on video. Francis Ford Coppola is one of the executive producers of this feature.
Followed by a sequel.
