It's interesting in how blantantly homeerotic JC2 is. The first films more subtle tones pale in comparisont o the sirtless young boys gracing the screen half naked in almost every scene. I mean really how many scenes of guys peeing do you need in a film.
That being said it takes the creativeness of the original and gets a little crazy with it. The film is overly ambitious but remains entertaining. The problem with the sequel well one of the main problems is the failed development of any charachters we can really care about in the film.
Most of them are pretty faces but they are poorly drawn and very irritating to be honest. Some of them you actually hate. I mean a psychic cheerleader really. The film takes place on the last days of the beasts feeding cycle as he targets a school bus of teens and finds himself stalked by the father of one of his victims.
Their are some frightening moments but most of the films drops the uneasy atmosphere of the original and instead opts of cheap scares and one liners. Still the film manages to be steps ahead of most genre sequels mainly due to the creative team behind the camera.
