Review of Jeepers Creepers 2 (2003) by Al M — 08 Sep 2011
A pretty cheesy but somewhat entertaining follow-up to the mostly mediocre original, Jeepers Creepers 2 opens well with a creepy farm attack scene. And, then, it sets up a potentially provocative premise: a school bus of athletes, cheerleaders, and other supporting persons breaks down in the area in which the Creeper is on the hunt for his allotted number of days.
The entire film centers around the bus and its surrounding rural environs, and there are moments of entertainment. But, overall, Jeepers Creepers 2 represents the malaise that struck mainstream horror films in the late 90s and early 2000s.
