Review of Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child (2010) by Jason C — 30 Dec 2010

Caught this On Demand last night. Sad story, but talk about a light that burned twice as bright..he died in his mid 20s and produced over 1,000 paintings and drawings...crazines...after seeing it (and viewing some rare footage) I still do not feel that I know who he was (I think that the filmmaker, who was a friend of his, might have been a bit too guarded to expose the less savory aspects of his drug addiction, which ultimately killed him), but I knew that I liked him.

He was someone who received fame very quickly (broke at the beginning of the year 1983 and by eoy he was a millionaire)and didn't know what to do with it.
