Review of Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child (2010) by Sam M — 15 Dec 2012
The doc is very conventional, the real substance comes from a diverse collection of interviews, none of which wastes any screen time. The problem with the film is the quality of camera work and editing: it is a bumpy ride.
The sound is terrible. There's no explanation about why Basquiat's art work is good basically. His place in art history is secure, but at a terrible price.
