I would never have thought I would saying this about a Jean-Claude Van Damme movie but this was amazing. Who knew he could act. I was capivated from the very beginning to the end. This movie had heart and a actual storyline and not a shred of black belt action sequences.
Jean-Claude Van Damme really put his heart into this film and it shows. I felt for him..a life of celebrity, of being mocked, of difficulties with his personal life, all laid bare with an astonishingly honest performance.
This deserved a better reception in theaters.
