Review of JCVD (2008) by Nathan D — 12 Jul 2009
A man who has become a parody of his tough guy image, with a B-grade action film legacy finds himself in an absurd situation similar to which you would see in one of his many films. This is JCVD at his most vulnerable and tragic.
Sure it isn't subtle where this film is headed, and the drab brownish cinematography was a bit much, we still get a chance to see this broken down action star at his most human. I enjoyed the frantic camera work, and attempts at realism.
