Definitely, one of his best movies in a very long, long time! Van Damme shows much more than just his action acting skills in this movie but actually shows that he is a good actor...of course he's not the greatest actor in the world but he's better than what a lot of people give him credit for.
Whether your a fan or not, rent this movie and I'm sure that you'll be pleasantly surprised...it's not the typical Van Damme film but it still has plenty of action and a very good story in it.
