Review of JCVD (2008) by Joe C — 18 Aug 2009
Utterly breathtaking movie that proves the muscles from brussells can act when given the stage to prove it on. more a comment on hollywood and getting to know the real jean claude, this is both hilarious and heartbreaking, its touching and completly believable.
Van damns monologue blends the with a mixture of real anguish and acted and it is this blur between what is venting his own feelings and sustaining the movies plot that is so outstanding. This movie made the world sit up take notice and commend van damme, and its about time.
I can only hope with this second chance his career will be given better oppourtunities than the made for dvd flicks that have tarnished him to this point, even if that doesnt change, anyone who wants to laugh at van damme should see this and see if they are still laughing by the end of it.
A fantastic performacne that is unmissable.
