Review of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001) by Chris H — 13 Feb 2012
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is a bad film. It is terrible. But it's enjoy it so much. I love Jay and Silent Bob in the Clerks films and them too have their own film is a dream come true. A lot of people will not like this because they look at the film as a movie, if you look at the film as entertainment most people will like it.
It's a great way to pass time. It's about Jay and Silent Bob who are being adapted as super heroes in a comic called Blunt-Man & Chronic. They find out that the comic is being made into a movie and want to get their cut of the money from it.
When visiting co-creater of the comic Holden McNeil (who previously starred in Kevin Smith's earlier film Chasing Amy) they find out about the internet, after seeing all the hate people are writing about the fore coming Blunt-Man & Chronic movie they decide to go to Hollywood to stop the film being made.
Kevin Smith fans will like it, but people who didn't like Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy & Dogma will hate it. I give it 8/10.
