Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith) discover that a movie is being made based on characters derived from their likenesses. Feeling ripped off, the duo go on a road trip in order to sabotage the project.
The story is kind of a raunchy take on Pee Wee's Big Adventure and it features cameos from numerous celebrities as well as characters from previous Kevin Smith pictures. Hardcore fans of Smith's work will be pleased by this movie and I thought it was absolutely hilarious when I was seventeen.
These days, however, I see it as cheaply written, vulgar, somewhat homophobic, and bizarrely self-plagarizing.
