Review of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001) by Tracy W — 30 Mar 2013
I remember when this film was released that I didn't like it at all. I found it sophomoric, immature and profane and not very funny. That was mostly because the only smith movie I had seen at the time was dogma.
Which is in all ways, the superior film of the two. However, since then I have seen all of Smiths jersey series films and upon seeing the film again I totally get it and thoroughly enjoyed every sophomoric, immature and profane moment of it.
It's a great send off for these two slackers and even more clever are all the inside jokes and self reference that was lost on me the first viewing. It's a film for Smith fans and while it may not be his strongest film, it's a shit ton better than Cop Out.
I wouldn't mind seeing these two make another film together.
