Review of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001) by Dan D — 15 Oct 2011
Kevin Smith's Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is a good comedy based of the characters from Clerks. In this movie Jay and Silent Bob's comic book characters (based of them) are going to the big screen.
Well Jay and Silent Bob have to go stop it because they aren't getting any money out of it and because people all over the internet are talking trash about them. Now they start their journey to Hollywood and get into crazy stuff like stealing a monkey, falling in love with a jewel thief, and some other crazy s**t.
In the movie Clerks I thought Jay and Silent Bob were two interesting characters and it made me excited to see how their movie would do compared to Clerks. However I still prefer Dante and Randy over Jay and Silent Bob any day but this movie is still funny.
At times this movie can be very funny but it does has it's moment were it just completely slowed down on the comedy were I only smiled, chuckled, or not even do anything. When it did come to good humor it will make you laugh so much because the crap they get them selves into and how they handle it is just hilarious.
The acting in this movie is pretty good to. Jason Mewes is hilarious in this movie as Jay and Jay just makes you laugh so many times throughout the movie because he's just that good in this movie and he is one of the most memorable characters I have ever watched.
Kevin Smith is perfect for Silent Bob because he's so silent and only says like 30 words. Other than that his motions are funny when Jay is talking. Shannon Elizabeth is really cute in this movie but her acting is decent but I think she's just there for her looks.
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is a good comedy that is good for very funny moments, two very memorable characters, and endless cameos.
