Review of Jaws: The Revenge (1987) by Kevin D — 02 Jun 2012
Gets a single star in my book for only a couple of reasons - first, the shark attack at the beginning is utterly terrifying, perhaps one of the most disturbing in the series. Secondly, it allowed me to see the Amity Island community again; a warm fuzziness fills my chest when I see the old familiar sights and faces from the first two Jaws films.
It goes down hill the moment Ellen Brody leaves for the Bahamas. And the shark follows her. And defies the laws of physics by lingering out of the water at an odd angle. And roars. And eats Michael Caine.
Then Sir Michael emerges safe and well minutes later, completely dry. And did I mention it roars?
