Review of Jaws: The Revenge (1987) by Mel M — 12 Dec 2010
Michael Caine was not present at the Oscars in 1987 to accept the award he won for Best Supporting actor for his work in Woody Allen's "Hannah and her Sisters." At the time the award was announced, he was on-set filming "Jaws: The Revenge.
" Do you know WHY I know this story? Do you know WHY this story is well-known in the film community? Two words: tragic irony. At the same time he's winning the most prestigious award in the film community, he is off making what is generally accepted as one of the worst movies of all time.
I feel bad for Michael Caine, but I also feel bad for anyone who has had to sit through this film... myself included.
