You know that you're in trouble when the only good parts (or bearable more like it) are the scenes not involved with a shark.

From the get go this project should have been abandoned, because it kicks a somewhat believable adventure story into illogical overdrive. A vengeful shark just can't happen nor should it because the idea is idiotic anyways. Add the bahamas in the mix and you have stupidity that makes a shark look more like a dolphin. So right off the bat the movie is circling the drain. Only element that kept it from drowning immediately were the gasps of air in the human drama from a decent cast. It involves a familiar family with a history of shark attacks.

The shark action is a complete failure. Nothing about em are exciting or remotely coherent. When no one is getting eaten (which is most of the time btw), we get badly shot close calls. Total body count is a whopping 2 people. The shark manages to look more fake than its 1975 counterpart.

Overall the cast is good and totally wasted on a completely dumb concept and an even worse execution.
