Review of Jaws 3-D (1983) by Steven L — 07 Jan 2009
Just when you thought Jaws couldn't have a worse sequel, here comes this ungodly piece of junk that serves no purpose other than to take a franchise, which started with one of the greatest movies ever made, and just fucking ruin it.
They try to connect it back to the first two films by having Dennis Quaid play Roy Scheider's son, but that is the only connection to the other ones, whatsoever. If they hadn't constantly been calling "Brody", there would have been no reason to call this a Jaws movie.
The 3-D effects and awful over-acting of Louis Gosset Jr. are the only bright spots here, and by bright spots I mean that they are unintentionally hilarious instead of boring, like the rest of the movie is.
The movie ends on a freeze-frame of Dennis Quaid playing with a dolphin. If that doesn't say it all, I'm not sure what could.
