Review of Jaws 2 (1978) by Travis R — 27 Aug 2012
Where the first Jaws is a flawless piece of high-tension filmmaking, this unenthusiastic but well-meaning sequel is essentially a precursor to the slasher films of the 80s, featuring a group of annoying teenagers being pursued and killed one by one by a scary monster.
Some of the action sequences are well-done, but the suspense just isn't there, and any scene featuring Chief Brody is an absolute bore.
