Review of Jaws (1975) by Scott G — 05 Aug 2015
This is my all-time favorite movie. I've never gotten tired of this film ever. It has always entertained me. I think I first watched it back either 1985 or 1986 and made ever attempt to watch it when it was on television.
Although I didn't finally buy it until 2000, but the fact that it was TV all the time meant that I didn't have to. The book the movie is based on sucked big time and I'm thankful the movie went against it.
The only problem I ever had with this film is I never saw it as a horror film. Jaws has never scared me ever. The film to me is more of an adventure film. I don't mean any disrespect to those who love it as a horror movie, but that's how I feel about it.
Jaws should have won best picture back in 1975 and I cannot believe it lost. But there's nothing I can do about it and just get over it. This film will always be to me the greatest film of all-time.
