Review of Jaws (1975) by Connor S — 22 Apr 2014
I consider Jaws to be just as important to the horror genre as Psycho was back in 1960. And not only was it a truly scary film (not so much anymore though), it was also a highly entertaining film. setting box office records until two other Spielberg films broke the record again.
The acting is great, especially from Roy Scheider, and the effects are very good for their time, and still look good today. Everything else about the film is great too, the direction, the cinematography, etc.
All in all, Jaws was a milestone in movie history, for both horror and entertainment.
