Jaws is directed by Steven Spielberg, and it stars Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, and Richard Dreyfuss in a shark thriller that was based on the 1974 novel with the same name by Peter Benchley who also co-wrote the film too, and it's about a Great White Shark who wants to eat anything that's on the water, but when it first happened, no one was sure at the time until it starts being apparent.

Jaws is one of those films that will always be a classic gem to me as there's no other shark film that's up there with Jaws, not even the sequels. The acting is terrific and which I'm glad that it made movie careers from Richard Dreyfuss and the late Roy Scheider.

I'm glad that it builds up to the shark rather then showing it right away as it builds the tension and mystery to whether it's actually a shark, and if it is, how big was it? The movie doesn't really show much of the shark as it shows more of the characters here, and they got enough characterization that I find them interesting throughout the entire movie.

The effect on the shark looks so good to this day that it really was ahead of its time. The writing by the author Peter Benchley and The Jerk co-writer Carl Gottlieb is really well-written with some funny humor, and a scare that actually got me.

The score by John William is really catchy, and the movie's theme song will always be good for years until the end of time. The last act is a lot of fun to watch, and it's tense. Jaws is a fantastic film to this day, and it's interesting that Steven Spielberg was well known as it started with this movie.
