Review of Jaws (1975) by James W — 15 Aug 2013
When I was ten years old, just watching the movie trailer alone scared me to death. Since then, I can't help but look out towards the ocean and think of a HUGE great white lurking towards the beach.
Here in 2014, the movie isn't as scary as it was in 1975, but with that great ensemble cast of Shaw, Schneider and Dreyfuss, also Steven Spielberg's wonderful approach in limiting the actual appearance of the mechanical shark ( it never really worked anyway) and finally the awesome musical score of John Williams with those simple notes (DA-DUM) made this movie colossal.
JAWS is an ultimate classic that no other shark movie (from past to present) will ever surpass. This is a movie not to be missed.
