Review of Jason X (2001) by Wade C — 12 Feb 2009
It took us nearly 10 years before we finally got another Jason movie. This time he's in the future! And not just the future, but outer space future! All in all, I think this is actually a pretty solid Friday the 13th movie.
It has everything we want: Kane Hodder, creative kills, action, and plenty of humor. Granted, it has a certain Sci-Fi Channel Original Movie flair to it, but who cares. It's Jason X. Plus, we get an upgraded Robocop style Jason at the end.
And the virtual reality Crystal Lake scene always has me rolling. I saw this twice in the theater. I'm not ashamed to admit it. Well, maybe just a little.
