Mixing some bad with a lot of good, Jason X doesn't really work as a horror movie because it's not that scary, but it's actually a lot of fun to watch. As a sci-fi action movie with Jason as the villain, it actually works.
The Scream-style meta humor is great, and there are some great groan-worthy puns. Best of all, Sgt Brodski is probably the most badass character in the entire franchise. It also has arguably the best kill of the entire series, which involves liquid Nitrogen.
Oh, and Uber Jason is absolutely awesome. Jason X may not be scary, but it's a really fun movie.
