Review of Jason Lives - Friday the 13th Part VI (1986) by Lee B — 21 Jun 2010

After some absolutely terrible sequels to the original I reached Jason Lives. Fantastic. My favourite out of the lot. I think the reason for me liking this one so much is that it takes literally minutes for Jason to appear and start hacking up the counsellors whereas the majority of the previous ones take 40 minutes or so.

I liked the whole super-strength-invincible Jason as it does clear alot up on how after getting seemingly done in, in every film it gives a reason as to why he is back. One of my favourite sequels, to me this is a proper slasher film with no stupid telekinesis storyline.

The pacing and suspense is poor but that doesn't bother me.
