Review of Jason Lives - Friday the 13th Part VI (1986) by Brett H — 30 Oct 2014

Jason's triumphant return after the mis-step, A New Beginning and they straight-up go for the looniness and Jason is actually resurrected by a lightning bolt, Frankenstein-style! This film had a great tone and the looming battle between Tommy Jarvis and Jason was pretty fun to witness and I like when they bring characters back.

The camp setting is great as usual and for once they actually have young children attending the camp, though they don't do much with this idea. The death scenes are really creative and there's one particularly nasty one where Jason twists a girl's head off! It's the same old stuff you'd expect but it was great seeing Jason return and the film was executed well.
