Review of Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993) by Radnall H — 13 Feb 2008
I love and hate this movie. On one hand, Jason is only in the movie in his hocky mask for about 20 minutes total. However, if you pay CLOSE attention and know even just a little bit about the Friday the 13th novels, they explain why Jason is a demon that can't die.
Since I'm sure you guys won't do that, I'll save you some of the trouble. Jason's dad has the Necronomicon, and used it to imbue his son's body with a demon. Jason's dad isn't in the movie, but the same ceremonial dagger and necronomicon from the Evil Dead series is in this movie. Why? Because for part 9, Paramount sold the rights to the Jason franchise to New Line Cinema... The same company who owns the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. God damn I know too much about Jason.
