Review of Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993) by Liam U — 30 Mar 2009
Utterly dire sequel. The intro shows promise, harking back to the days of the original, but this is soon blown to pieces and the film just gradually gets worse. The story, while never a strong point in a Friday the 13th movie, is awful, and the whole body swapping concept is truly terrible.
Some imaginative killings are interesting, but Jason's menacing presence is sorely missing. The ending is intriguing but not nearly enough to help redeem this terrible entry into an otherwise decent series.
